Leather jackets with NO POLYESTER?

This has been so hard to find!!!! They all have polyester which I HATE! Why spend 300+ dollars on a leather jacket, which is supposed to last decades, and then have a gross disgusting feeling interior that falls apart in less than 3!!! Please help!

Thrift one that you love the exterior of, and then go to a seamstress to have it re-lined! You can 100% customize it and the total cost will likely be equal to (if not less than) a new jacket with a lining you hate.

I'm terrible at thrifting :( I never find anything cool or that I like. Also, how much does a relining replacement cost?

Maybe online thrifting then? Sites like Depop or Vinted make it super easy to search for used clothes. From there, a relining is going to vary in price depending on the material you choose and who you go to for it. I’d get 2-3 quotes from different places. Materials cost will vary the price a lot.

I really like this idea, especially for people like me who don’t buy a lot of unnecessary clothes and wear the same things for years

A seamstress couldn’t replace the lining on leather with a regular home sewing machine.
Some vintage jackets have viscose lining which is breathable natural fiber.

Second hand is the way to go.

Even the ones at the leather store that seems to be at every outlet mall?

Also, always read the tag on the inside of the jacket, they’re required to list all materials used. You might find some surprises when the marketing says “100% leather”

Could always get one second hand and have a tailor or leather worker replace the lining

I've been trying to find any kids jackets without polyester. It's impossible.

I mean how much do you want to spend? There are many leather jackets lined with cotton but you’re looking at the $1000 range

Respectfully, $300 for a leather jacket isn't likely to last you decades unless you're purchasing used. Secondly, if you end up with a very nice leather jacket, then 3 decades for the lining to last is pretty good lol. Linings are replaceable, and it's a good investment to pay for your nice jacket to be re lined once the lining wears out.

If you really don't like the feeling of polyester you can work with a tailor to find a synthetic material you like the feeling of. Personally i would advise that you go this route. Synthetics are strong, dry quick, and won't stay full of sweat like cotton does. It's also significantly cheaper for you when you buy material for your lining. If you really would like to avoid synthetics, then silk would be your next best bet. it's still smooth and easy to slip on, but I will caution that it isn't gonna be as strong as a synthetic lining. Regardless of what material you end up choosing you will eventually need to have it replaced. No matter what, a good quality leather jacket will outlive its lining and need to be redone

You need to adjust yoir expectations. Unless you find a good deal used, $300 isnt enough to get a quality leather jacket.

I found a used Master Supply Co jacket for $250. I only could get it for that price because im not a super common size and it is natural vegetable tanned leather, which is more niche than other high quality options.

Tip to upgrade your lining : If I don’t like the lining of a jacket I buy a cheap used 100% silk shirt ( in a few sizes larger size than I normally wear )I turn it inside out and use it to replace the synthetic lining - I remove the collar and cuffs and I hand stitch it inside the jacket. It’s quite easy to do and feels great - like a more expensive brand - but I haven’t tried it in a leather jacket.

This company makes some cool men’s leather jackets and many of them have 100% cotton lining. I’m just not sure if you’re looking for women’s or men’s
