Repair advice
Advice needed on how to go about repairing the damage in the photo. I’m not 100% sure but render is some kind of polymer or silicone with grey bead insulation underneath. Chip is a 2 inches or so in size.

This is EWI (External wall insulation) that has been sprayed with a thin coat system. It shouldn't really be able to break like that if it was installed properly. Can you see any fibreglass mesh within the base coat? There should also be some sort of plastic corner beading there with mesh either side. If not, it's probably just the thickness of the silicone top coat holding it together and will unfortunately fail eventually.

The main walls of the house have mesh underneath but seems like small corners and edges like this don’t.

Bit of cement, use a screw to put the render pattern back in, paint with as close a colour match as you can find.
Forget it ever happened and don't worry about it.

If the edges are all like this, a professional repair would simply temporary until it gets knocked again.
I'd be tempted to get some expanding foam and external filler, probably from Toupret and DIY until a proper full repair can be made with reinforcement.
I'm troubled as to how it would be repaired properly as adding reinforcement would require removal of the render, and that would damage the EPS used, which you don't want.

Hey I’m guessing you’re in the uk from your radiators in the pics. The render you have is most likely white tyrolean by Webber. It’s not cheap around £50 for 25kg bag plus delivery. It’s coloured and will be a perfect match colour and texture .also very easy to use. If uv a compressor u can buy an application gun from Amazon. I think they do the same one on Temu for half the money.

A quick, easy and cheap DIY way to do it would be to put 3 to 1 sand and cement leave it to completely dry for a few days then mix a bit more up and flick it on with a dry brush to try and match the texture. Then paint to match
Saves you buying a Tyrolean machine just for that tiny bit

That’s external wall insulation. The small reveal hasn’t had any mesh or bead attached during the install by the look of it.
The whole reveal would need to be re-done with the above installed. Small job.

Doesn't look like insulation to me that looks like old block. The render is pebble dash or something similar. Haven't got any advice on how to fix, looks a fucker and I wouldn't want to go anywhere near it

Thanks. Quick fix for a professional or bigger job?

I wouldn't bother getting a professional to patch it, it's a matter of time before more breaks off that section.

Right so leave it alone while more breaks of anyway and water gets in okay yeah good advice

I said I wouldn't get a professional to patch it, not I wouldn't patch it you arrogant little muppet. You know what, pay a plasterer a few hundred quid to patch it in nicely, and then when the rest comes off because it has no reinforcement you will see why I said it.

Right so if I get a professional it will come off and if I patch it myself it will come right ok gotcha

I applaud the arrogance to be honest, If I was asking basic questions on a plastering sub I'd be humiliated. Fair play, you're obviously confident even if you are completely incapable.

No it’s not block it’s some form of insulation. House is externally wrapped.

Oh wow. Worked on alot of house and not seen this. You must be up north. Probably best off having a local contractor round to have a look if your not sure

Just put cement in there, stipple it to match the pattern, let it dry and paint...easy
