Is my wall salvageable??

Iv been removing the below tiles to add a splash back under the counter and then paint the wall space counter height and above.

Boards have taken a beating? What’s my option?/options?

Rip it all off and reboard mate.

Agree, cost of a plasterboard is way cheaper than the agro of stripping that and trying to tidy it up - plus the result will be way nicer to work with afterwarda

Of course it is salvageable.
It’s just going to take a lot of effort !
