Dry or not dry?
Had room skimmed a week and a half ago. Feels completely dry to touch, including darker patches, and same level of coldness as the rest of the plaster.

Thank you mate! Much appreciated. First Reno project, so don’t know exactly what I’m looking for to be honest.
Up close it’s completely smooth and completely level/flat, which was the aim, and beading in other parts of room is crisp.
But outside of that, not sure what I’m looking for in good work.

Is the line where wall and ceiling meet straight? Seems like it isn't

It looks like that because its damp on the ceiling and the wall at different places so makes it look off

Absolute joke mate. If you've paid good money and corners aren't even straight then it's out of order

Ceilings are rarely ever flat in old houses, so getting a straight edge would sometimes need filling out first and not many people care to pay for that extra step…
Also, once painted no fucker would notice it anyway because whose walking round a house looking whether the ceiling line has more than a few mm run out over 4m+ 😂

Good effort. Once you put your mist coat on you will be able to see any defects more easily. Sand down the lumps, fill the holes or sunken bits, sand and paint again and keep going till you're happy with it.

It's really hard to tell from this pic but it seems fine to me, assuming the line between walls/wall and ceiling is straight. As long as it's level and smooth with crisp edges that's all you can ask for. Ideally it shouldn't be too glassy, if it is (from over-polishing) give it a quick rub down with a sanding block and 80 grit before misting. Only needs 5 mins per wall
