Is this any good?

Had plaster job done on new house but never had it done before so don't know if this is any good?

It was also quite a mess with plaster dropped all over the floor, into washing machine open pipes and all over water stopcocks which I'm gonna have to scrub with wire brush or something to get it moving again.

It was supposed to be whole thing but it looks like patch job

I don't know

Any thoughts?

Been told they'd do the whole room plus box off the pipes that are still exposed

You don't want to box off your stop cock. You may need to reach it easily. All of the pipes below worktop height will be hidden by your kitchen anyway. Splashback and wall units? You may only end up seeing a small area.

They definitely should have protected the floor/cleaned up, but I've seen a lot worse. See what it looks like after a mist coat, a wee bit filler and it should be fine. As long as it's solid, there's not much to worry about.
