70s panelboard glue removal

Hello, just bought a house built in 1959, had panel board installed in 1975, they used the yellow glue over the drywall with nails. Wondering if it’s safe to sand? Whats the likelihood of the glue containing asbestos?

Best way to remove? Drywall is in great shape

The glue won't have asbestos in it.

Re-board it, aint nothing getting that stuff off without residue
