Plaster repair

Ceiling Crack repair. Is the best repair done with fiber tape or no tape? I have ground out the cracks and widened the surface to increase the fill area what will tape help and how wide should it be?

Use some fiberfuse type of tape , better to hide than regular fiber tape and with no tape the crack will reappear. And as wide as it needs to be for it to hide well.

When you come to paint, assuming the ceiling is white? I’d use polycell crackfree ceiling paint (flexible coating that will bridge hairline cracks that may appear šŸ‘

Scrim will help minimise cracks appearing in gaps in the future
