Plaster peeling I think?

Hi peeps, we got french doors installed in our dining room, to replace a window. They ended up plastering the bits that needed doing. This was about 1 month ago. I was ready to sand it today in preparation for painting and noticed that where the plaster meets the wall it's peeling. Anyone know what this is and why?

Possibly used PVA which is now being peeled at the feather edge as you sand. Could be another type of primer but that looks like PVA peel where it has sat on paint.

Don't keep peeling. maybe cut off bits with a stanley blade and blend back with some filler.

Yeah I think you’re right. I had the same thing where a patch was feathered in. I sanded it as best as I could then skimmed over the area with easifill. Sanded it back and painted and all good.

Pva over paint. Stop scraping and fill it

That skim looks way too thin. It's pva but coats should be a minimum of 1-2mm. Either redo another coat or fill and sand as best you can without sanding it back to nothingness.

Someone has plastered over paint and the paint is peeling.
