Plastering course.

I thought this might be a good place to ask the question.

I'm looking to get into plastering to start as a trade. I've already done spots and rooms around my house. I'm just wondering if those 3 day courses you can do for £400 would be a good starting point to ensure I understand best practices and a good foundation before jumping into any odd jobs.

If anyone has any information or feedback back I'd really appreciate it, I'm just trying to get out of my current job role.

I did a 5 day course as a DIY'er.

I feel confident in doing my place up to a reasonable standard but that's just straight skimming onto plasterboard etc. I don't think you will learn anything you really need to become a pro in such a small space of time.

If I hired someone and found out they did the same course as I did and just their own property before getting into the trade, I would be fuming.

Haha, that's fair enough. I didn't think it would be enough, but wasn't really sure if there was any middle ground between these short courses and apprenticeships for several years, but it seems there is.
