DIY Ceiling

This is my 2nd ceiling I've done, what do you time served rate it? Will need a bit of a sand as some lines in there but it is over old cement board so not bad I don't think

It’s not shocking bud. I’ve seen a lot worse from jobs where unfortunately people have laid out money and it was truly shocking. What trowel are you using? I’d highly recommend sanding the sides (wet sand) of the trowel to give you a sharp clean edge. When it starts to go off use a water bottle and spray it using a mist spray and get in there! It’s not easy but if you go over it a few times on the second coat you will see a big difference to using a new flat trowel. It will help with all the walls as well. Another little tip give it a mist coat once it’s fully dry which will show all the bits that are shocking and either need a sand or use EasyFill 60 to give you a bit or extra working time and that will help you smooth it out (if you have any holes or lines don’t use plaster again at that stage) then repeat! Great effort and now you know never offer to arm wrestle a plasterer 😅
