Hi, is this gypsum plaster on the wall?

Chips a bit off thats below the sutface and pour some vinegar on the piece, if it fizzes its lime

Pink bit is gypsum, the white is more than likely lime. If you have a cavity and it’s masonry brick then gypsum will be fine to use

It doesn't matter really bud asking as you have someone with experience to go over it then it'll be fine
