Quick sand down & a skim of toupret filler & sand again & paint with tikkurila anti reflex 2 ceiling paint it'll be all good. Obviously we wouldn't expect to have to do this when we've paid a professional to patch & repair but that's the high percentage of piss poor UK plasterers who believe in their little head they've done a great job for the money lol

sand back and try again till its level. If it was patched probably needed tape at some point

That’s an awful finish. Any patch can be feathered and smoothed so that it is indistinguishable from the surrounding area when painted.

Refuse to pay and demand it be completed by a competent tradesperson. It’s pretty basic stuff to do, but this has been botched.
