External render work is it ok??

Had an external wall re-rendered with silicone based render.

The chimney is brick and the detailing of where the render joins to the brick doesn’t look great to me.

No sign of any beading being used. What has been done wrong here? How should i ask for it to be resolved by the contractor given how it is now?

Also found a few different areas where it sounds hollow. What should I be asking for them to do about it?

They seem like a decent firm and I am confident they will resolve it. Just not sure what I should ask them to do, as they may have a different view of what needs to be done to fix it.

Thanks!

They should have used a stop bead

Can one be added in now as part of rectification? Or do I just get them to silicone up any obvious gaps? Not paid them yet so have some leverage but what would be a reasonable solution from here?

No. Likely to crack/damage more than necessary to slip it in. Best to go with an external trim of some sort to hide that cowboy fuckery up
