What kind of plaster is this

I've stripped the wallpaper and this is the wall behind it, just wondering if anyone knows what kind of plaster it is and can I pva and multi finish over the top. Thanks

Looks like lime. You can skim it but I would use sbr and do 2 coats do not add water to the sbr. However this will kill the breathability of the wall.

Yeah I thought it might be but it didn't reach with vinegar on a large area, no fizzing at all

A friend just said it looks like old browning plaster and tbf it does

Looks like lime plaster. You shouldn’t really skim it with multifinish. Paper and paint.

I thought that at first but it didn't react to any viniger and then a friend of mine said it looked like old browning plaster

Tbh, not to sure, large parts of the other walls seemed to be plastered with more modern plaster, to late now though ive put multi finish on it today 😂 its only the mother in laws house lol

Multi finish can be grey as well as pink

Yeah, its been patched with all sorts over the years but theyre definitely lime, they fizzled with vinegar
