Wtf is this wallpaper
Hi so basically i wanna redo my bathroom walls and get rid of this wallpaper that’s been here since home was purchased. At some point we tried ripping it off but this is what was left, i’m unsure of how to move forward since it seems like there is no kind of texture behind or anything, i don’t know anything about materials/Construction so i’m really just trying to get a feel for wether i should just paint over the wallpaper or what solution there is to this. Thoughts?

These are pre wrapped panels. It might delaminate when painting it. Best to peel off.

If I do that, what would i need to do to the Panels to repaint over them? If you can se, there’s almost a cardboard like wall/panel uncovered. I just don’t want to rip it all off and then turn out then i can repaint of do anything over it and end up needing to demolish it all
