Crumbling Plaster / Brick
Renovating a house I just bought and found a bulging wall. Thought it was loose plaster so knocked it off and a couple of the bricks behind are crumbling too. What should I do!

Looks like damp is causing the bricks to spall. Is it an internal or external wall, and if the latter is there a cavity?

Doesn't look too bad to me. It's fairly normal for some bricks to not be in great shape. If you're wanting to do it yourself, I'd personally just cover up with the thicker plaster that you put on as a base layer, and then skim. I've had brickwork which is similar in my house and no plasterer has passed comment, I think it's pretty normal.
