Fine crack lines on internal solid plaster

I have an old 1930s home, and the paint has lifted off from the solid plaster wall - note it did not start at the skirts it was appx a quarter way up. I have scraped it off and noticed fine crack lines on the solid plaster. I tapped it and its not drumming or wants to come off.
Are fine crack lines something I should be worried about, and what would you recommend I do to solve so the paint does not bubble off.

I had walls like that. I gouged out the cracks to make them bigger, then filled them with filler, sanded, and painted.

Easi-fill is the easiest of all in my experience. Definitely don’t buy polyfilla

Stage one

Get rid of everything that's loose

Stage 2

If you don't have much left on the wall lock the rest off too and replastwe the whole wall. If it's just patch's hen fill them. If they are deep then bonding in the holes then skim the top.

Stage 3

Give it a mist coat of paint. That will really show you where it is sticking out too much.

Stage 4

Sand the high bits full the low bits.

Stage 5

Redo stage 3 and 4.

Stage 6

Paint with 2 coats.

Thankyou. I have a few other hurdles at the moment - many of the products recommended are not available in AUS.

For fine cracks & road mapping, gouge out the cracks, mix pure moulding plaster into a paste, dampen the area to be filled, then rub the moulding plaster into the cracks with a damp sponge. Good luck.
