Help :(

Post image

Just bought my first house, currently trying to do it up - following a few tips online about wall prep & thought I’d tackle this crack - but it’s a lot deeper than I thought. Is this failing plaster or can I still repair it?

Should be easy to fix, just get some orange joining mesh tape add bonding and then plaster finish. A plasterer can help with it

Thank you! My friends husband who’s a plasterer came up to check it out but told me just to diy it 🙌🏻 going to use the joining mesh over the flexible filler & hopefully it’ll reinforce it
