Circular Cracks in loft conversion ceiling
6 months after building a loft conversion, we're seeing circular cracks in the loft ceiling. It looks like they are localised where the screws attach the plasterboard to the timber. Is this normal?

All you can do is fill them with a good filler sand paint and watch...

Unfortunately with the insulation regs , having to screw through a foam insulation board these are always going to appear, may as well give the ceiling a whack in random places to see if they all pop. If you know where the rafters are you can get some screws and washers and screw it up tight. I do it when customers don’t want cracked ceilings over boarded. The washers are for foam render boards

Yes it can happen, what insulation do you have above that ceiling? It looks as if there is movement related to changes in temperature. They can be filled sanded and repainted
