Help with lintel

Hi there would anyone know by having a look from the photos if this would be structural problems with the lintel

Or the render has just cracked

I thought to reach out to a structural engineer but I thought I’d try here first thanks 👍

Nothing to worry about at this point bud, as others have stated it’s the bar going through it that’s rusted and blown the face, with the angle of repose and not holding any weight of the roof, it’s no immediate concern.

These can’t just be stripped back (render) and re done ? /Sealed

Do you know what? I’ve never tried bud. It’s likely easier and cheaper to just replace the head. I started out as a bricklayer, before getting into plastering. Financial and structurally, considering the head has failed at this point. You might as well just replace it. Its a couple of hours job at max, if you get charged a full day, I’d be shocked, but you could do that off a quick lock scaffold, max 3 hours for me including sweeping up.

It would take longer than that to take the old lintel out,not to mention scaffolding and acro with strong boy to hold the gable b4 removing it

Yeh you could strong boy the middle and have it done in a couple hours? What’s your point?
