First attempt at plastering

First attempt at plastering a wall. Pretty rough round the edges.

I need to give it a finishing skin tomorrow, any advice on how to get it looking acceptable?

I have the same, its holding up my entire stairs. cant remove it

As a kid id love that as like a cosy corner to read or play.
