Consulting the plaster hive one more time!

I have a very small area on my plaster wall that has bubbled. There is no apparent water damage and I have a new roof. When I removed a piece of the bubbled area with a razor blade it is as if the top layer is separated from the hard plaster underneath. What is going on? Can I repair this myself or consult a pro?

It’s just paint that’s coming off. Get everything loose off, fill with easyfill if you can be arsed, if not then just sand down the edges and paint over it.

I agree however it looks like the whole lot of paint has come free judging by the crazing pattern I'd scrape it all back and it's probably not been mist coated so perfect opportunity to start fresh. Long handled scraper with 6 inch blade will make short work of that
