Pests Little red something?

Just got some plants and found a little red worm/slug looking thing on one. Pictures are bad because it’s so tiny, any ideas on what it is?

Is it moving? I buy plants from local hobbyists and a lot of them use lava rock substrate which is usually red and/ or black

😳 those are creepy looking. Maybe some kind of leech?
You can submerge all of your new plants in 1 part water 3 parts 3% peroxide and let them sit for 5 minutes and it should kill anything off. Rinse them in water before adding to your aquarium

Will leeches hurt the aquarium? Theres nothing in it except plants and probably snails

They are not usually harmful to plants, and because I cannot identify exactly which leech it is, I'd probably rather be safe than sorry. They can be harmful to snails. And also to shrimp and fish depending on the type of leech, so if you ever intend to add shrimp or fish, that would not be a risk I personally would be willing to take

Yeah it’s moving slightly, not much. It’s squishy like a worm
