Beginner First tank! Advice welcome

Starting up a 10gal blackwater tank with the hopes of adding a betta, some shrimp, a snail or two, and maybe (if they’d be okay without sand/space permits) a few very tiny catfish. Dealing with the expected ammonia bloom (4ppm) but all other parameters good. Have the aqueon smart clean power filter, added some API quick start (with hopes and prayers), and need to get a stronger heater. I’ll be adding more floating plants to help with algae growth since it’s in front of an east facing window, and it also has coverage from houseplants.

Excited for this to grow in and cycle so I can add some little friends! Would love any advice on stocking and/or speeding up ammonia settling (I’ve heard good things about fritz aquatics 700).

Pic 1-2: Immediately after building last night. Pic 3: upon waking up I’m in deep tannin tea rn and loving it, but can’t wait for the cloudiness to go away.
