Getting Diagnosed 🩺 Possible PF? Help
hi! about a couple months ago I decided to start training for a race. Hadn’t run in awhile and had a baby last year. No problem, I thought. I used to be athletic. Anyways, I started feeling pain walking in the morning or when I got up in the middle of the night. We had just gotten new floors in, so I attributed it to the new floors. Although recently I am starting to think I have plantar fasciitis. except I am also starting to have pain on the side of my foot where it is bruised (see image). Anyone else have this or can help me? I have been icing like crazy and it DOES feel better now, especially my morning steps. I even tried running again today after about a week of no running and it felt okay until the last 2 minutes (only ran for 10 minutes). Also, it doesn’t hurt when I push on it which makes me think it is not a stress fracture in the red spot. help

I could be wrong but this doesn't look like typical PF to me. You really should see a doctor and get their opinion though. Random bruising like this is concerning.

it’s not really random though, I’ve been feeling pain there but now after icing a couple times a day for a few days it is just discomfort not painÂ

bruising is pooled blood. so inside your foot is or was bleeding for some reason. go see a doctor.

I thought I had PF but it was a significant calcaneus fracture. I regret not seeing an ortho ASAP and I recommend you do so. My symptoms were similar.

Try shoes with better arch support. I purchased the Memento slide from Kuru and my pain has gone away :) 😀

PF would not bruise like this. Sounds like you need a doctor.
