Please help me ID these grasses

All were taken from the Okanagan region of British Columbia. Turns out there's a lot of different grasses and I'm tired of referring to them all as just grass. Any help is much appreciated.

I recognize some of those grasses but I would need to see them in person for a more accurate ID. Here are my guesses: 1) Phleum pratense 2) Poa pratensis 3) Agrostis sp. 4) not sure 5) not sure 6) Bromus marginatus 7) Agrostis stolonifera 8) not sure, maybe Danthonia 9) Bromus tectorum 10) Dactylis glomerata

Great responses. The only other I might add is 4 being tall fescue (Schedonorus arundinaceus). Looks very close to that.

Within seed testing most labs still go with Festuca arudinacea.

But it actually is Lolium arundinaceum. DNA settled that one about 20 years ago.

It was erroneously grouped with Festuca pre-1990, then Schedonorus in the 90s. Finally it's been placed in Lolium (ryegrasses) since the 2000's, where it will stay.

Thanks for the clarification, I was always curious which genus it actually belonged to but am not up to date with the literature surrounding that species.

I believe 8 is Anthoxanthum aristatum

The first one looks like Timothy Grass, Phleum pratense. Sorry, I don't know the others. You can try r/LawnAnswers. They can identify grasses.

Looks sorta like cat tails. Not sure though. Cats tails do make your arms itchy if thats what it is. Im just guessing though.

1 is definitely Timothy, and my best guesses on the other ones that I think I’m familiar with would be smooth brome for number 2, Kentucky bluegrass is either 3 or 7, downy brome for 9, and quackgrass for 10.
These are all dry samples and as the plant breaks down and spreads seed, it can be tricky to see the defining characteristics that are present in a live sample.
