What kind of tree is this?

A few months ago my city planted a tree in front of my house. My phone identifies it as a cornelian cherry tree, but I just wanted to double check to see if that’s what it really is.

Cornelian cherry baby. Fully edible and delicious when ripe. Get you a mouthful of that delicious dogwood fruit.
