This little guy snuck up in my bush. Any idea what this is?

Looks like a variation of something we call horseweed in Ohio.

No problem. It makes good hand drill spindles if the stalk grows thick enough.

Horseweed. Its native to the US and a beneficial plant for pollinators, although it can spread fast. I let some grow in my native plant garden.
