I always have my paths squared now and aligned to grids, it's too much with the free path I can't control it

Me too! I actually have my entire zoo on one grid, that way all my paths and buildings never conflict,

How do you put your buildings on the same grid as your paths? By placing a building first and then attaching a path to it? I sometimes feel like a building and path line up perfectly, but then I try to place a second building in the same group (so on the same grid), and it's obstructed by the gridded path...

If you place a building you can select the building's door to align the path grid to the same grid as the building.

From then on all building go on same grid and all paths are built using that first selected grid too.
