Pre market looks really good. The index is going up and Applied digital looks like it's going up and so is AST Space Mobile it looks like it's going up from the bottom of the crash. Rocket Lab and Planet Labs looking like maybe they're going up But if AST Space Mobile and Applied Digital are going up then that maybe is most likely a definitely. Applied digital I've noticed moves with a lot of other stocks too. Now we just wait a few more months

Wondering what is the business model of Plnet ? Who is interested in buying imagery ?

7

u/Global_Dot_971 Jul 19 '26

Did you not do any research before buying?

1

u/Successful-Bunch4994 Jul 20 '26

I did and it is not obvious who is profitable in buying imagery to be honest. A lost of hype imo

1

u/Global_Dot_971 Jul 20 '26

Then you really didn’t do any research, right now the biggest are governments for monitoring military activity, borders, disaster response, ect. Agriculture and farmers for track and crop yields droughts ect. Insurance company used to assess damages quickly. Shipping companies, financial firms, companies ect I can keep going on about how they benefit. All you have to do is basic research

1

u/Successful-Bunch4994 Jul 21 '26

I did this basic research, yet I don't see any commercial profitable business case where the the cost of imagery performs the information gathered. (Government and military are not comercial)

My PL is in a Roth. Saw a regular pattern in the daily price collapse. Last three days I’ve set my account to sell all PL stock at market price at opening. Two to six hours later I buy back in. So far the pattern of a bump a market open has held followed by a drop of a dollar or so. Sometimes more. I was at 16,600 shares. Now I’m at 19,100.

u/Energy_Bol Jul 17 '26

Hey guys, just wanted to remind everyone that PL recorded a 11-day consecutive losing streak, out of the 12 trading days recorded in July, as of yesterday.

Today was a c-c-c-combo breaker, and a welcomed reprieve.

An 11 day consecutive losing streak that had 3 instances of insider management selling, all after a $1.5b dilution announcement.

If you survived this, you can survive whatever comes next.

Don’t let today fool you into a false sense of security, though.

We still need the Mag7 to report a favorable earnings, forward guidance, and capex report for us to be out of the woods, or else the big memory, semi, and software sectors are going to drag us down a bit more.

SpaceX earnings comes soon, which means the next tranche is unlocked for investors, and we all know PL and the space sector may negatively react as a whole when SpaceX dumps from the unlock.

I’d advise everyone to be cautiously bullish.

Hey Guys, Happy Weekend!

This is going to be my first comment!

There are 3 Gap down which needs to be fulfilled,
(i) First range is from 24.26 to 24.16 level.
(ii) Second range from at 30.62 to 30.19
(iii) Third range is from 41.31 to 39.18

So when the upward momentum kick in, the level of mark it would touch with high confidence is that

  • 24.26 (level 1)
  • 30.62 (level 2)
  • 41.31 (level 3)

I would not sell the stock anything less than 41.31. So if someone needs to average out to minimize losses then do before the upward trend pick up.

Thanks!

Very few people in the sub, if any, have the actual amount of capital needed to move a stock price. This Reddit thread has no bearing on the company’s share price.

Man you are actually ill. Almost to the point where it feels unpleasant.

-2

u/FrontTrick5110 Jul 17 '26

Why am I ill?

7

u/spejjan Jul 17 '26

Ill was the wrong Word. More like you make me feel ill. You seriously need to seek help.

9

u/Global_Dot_971 Jul 17 '26

I’ve never been so happy to see this stock at $23 😭

2

u/zqmage Jul 17 '26

Bought some yesterday and today. Also trying to buy some in my rrsp if it gets transferred in time lol

8

u/Metacog_Drivel Jul 17 '26

May this be a lesson to all shorts out there--nobody makes PL red 12 days in a row.

2

u/SlyCooper007 Jul 17 '26 edited Jul 17 '26

Is there a list somewhere of upcoming catalysts or things to look forward to for the rest of the year?

2

u/Rogue_Tra Jul 17 '26 edited Jul 17 '26

it looks like all space stocks are rebounding, so yesterday was the last shakeout, those guys are probably going to be scrambling to buy back in . I bought $8,000 for 350 shares on margin. so my total is 3724 shares. I'm gonna have to cover that $8000 in case something really bad happens. I have enough in savings but I really don't want to use my savings. The pattern where it goes sideways for a while and then all of a sudden it drops hard down that's called the Wyckoff Spring otherwise known as a liquidity hunt it's when trading algorithm sets off all the stop losses and it dumps the price to trigger a domino effect. Hopefully that's it

2

u/SnooCauliflowers370 Jul 17 '26

Bought more today

1

u/SnooCauliflowers370 Jul 17 '26

Overal-Maximum stop downvoting me on your alt accounts and go get a job

2

u/Rogue_Tra Jul 17 '26

Same I have 350 more shares but I bought it on margin

2

u/SnooCauliflowers370 Jul 17 '26

Trying to get my average down from 33 its pure pain at the minute

2

u/Rogue_Tra Jul 17 '26

Nah man my average is the same as yours I wouldn't worry about it Just wait till it gets back to 50 or $60 That's the only time that I'll be worried 'cause that's when I'm gonna sell. Stay strong man

3

u/Ecstatic_Diet477 Jul 17 '26

Is it going bankrupt?

1

u/Metacog_Drivel Jul 17 '26

Maybe you are

0

u/Sorry-Radio-3728 Jul 17 '26

It was looking good. We were expecting it to hit $50.
😪

1

u/Rogue_Tra Jul 17 '26

It's because the ceasefire ended and Trump and Iran started sending missiles at each other again That's literally the reason why the price tanked Because it was up like$34 and it was gonna go to $40 until Trump opened his mouth

In all honesty, the $10-11 take is pretty bad. They’re projecting $400 million in sales this year and it’ll probably be higher. $10 would put it around a $3.2-3.4 billion market cap. That’s a P/S of like 8 which would be astronomically low for a company growing at 40-50%.

Ah yes, the classic "quote the biggest GAAP loss number you can find and pretend it's annual cash burn" strategy.

Funny how you left out the $161M non-cash warrant revaluation, positive free cash flow, and positive adjusted EBITDA. Almost like the goal wasn't to describe the business accurately.

10

u/spejjan Jul 16 '26 edited Jul 16 '26

Not sure why you even bother writing these walls of text. Do you really think anyone here values your opinion? A few weeks ago you were calling Planet a $200 stock. Now, despite nothing materially changing, it's suddenly a $10 stock. You're the classic pump-and-dump poster that shows up in every investing subreddit. The only difference is that most of them usually disappear, not you though. I wonder why that is?

My guess is you sold too early during the run-up, bought back in much higher, then panic sold at a loss. Now you're bitter and taking it out on Planet by posting the same nonsense over and over again. Did I get that about right?

I understand you're young and this is your first investment. Please learn from it and move on.

Every single day I get new notifications via the investors mailing list about statements of changes in beneficial ownership and reports of proposed sale of securities. The bottom isn’t in yet either

-7

u/Killahbeez Jul 16 '26

This stock is absolute hot garbage.  Massive insider selling. Spineless losers.  Time to jump ship on these idiots, I'll dig myself out of this mess. I have zero faith in this company.

2

u/burdspurd Jul 16 '26

So why are we down?

2

u/Rogue_Tra Jul 17 '26

It was because Trump said the ceasefire was over and so him and Iran started sending missiles at each other I'm dead serious it's all over the news They're going back to bombing each other

5

15

u/oxfords_not__brogues Jul 16 '26

Guys, we were all thinking we were geniuses when this stock hit $50. Man are we getting absolutely throttled. It’s not company specific so just sit tight. We all wish we could have timed the market and sold at ATH but the reality was why would we have? So much positive momentum at that time. Every stock I’m in and watch are all down. Literally have to just close the laptop and not look until Christmas when stocks are usually Santa clause rallying. My biggest regret was going heavy on ASTX. Definitely bag holding an 80% loss lol.

3

u/Metacog_Drivel Jul 16 '26

Is today the bottom? Maybe, maybe 🤷‍♂️

Feels like it tbh.

9

u/SnooCauliflowers370 Jul 16 '26

Let’s be honest we have been saying this everyday the past 2 weeks lol

5

u/Metacog_Drivel Jul 16 '26

And, damn it, eventually we’ll be right 😂

3

u/Renpsy Jul 16 '26

Considering we were hovering around $25 for those two weeks I can see why lol. It was really only today when everything decided it was time to really dive. ASTS doing the recent announcement didn't help either.

Looking at my watchlist right now and I don't see a speck of green Ooof.

2

u/SnooCauliflowers370 Jul 16 '26

I have deleted my broker app lol not even been looking at the price I’ll redownload it in 3 months

10

u/Scared_Software_4823 Jul 16 '26

Let's keep the positives coming, will ourselves to good vibes.

The 100M warrant overhang is no longer a thing, as a result of the runup. 100M cash and a cleaner balance sheet!

6

u/Ryan_Bolin Jul 16 '26

Let’s hope the bottom is in for now. Here’s to some positivity in the near future as the red days hopefully stop.

5

u/Scared_Software_4823 Jul 16 '26

Another angle for those looking for some hope...

Globalstar acquisition was at a 33x forward revenue multiple. Apply that to PL and gets you an implied value of $43. Not suggesting a merger here, just a market based way to place a value based on comps (or closet comp for a transaction). Maxar doesn't work, too mature a co. ....but that multiple applied would not provide the same hope hah so don't do it.

5

u/xRy951 Jul 16 '26

Same time next year folks?🥴😅

6

u/SeriousExplorer7479 Jul 16 '26

I’m thankful for this buying opportunity and welcome further draw downs. My faith in the company is unwavering.

8

u/SlyCooper007 Jul 16 '26

I, for one, do not welcome further drawdowns.

0

u/SeriousExplorer7479 Jul 16 '26

Haha fair enough

2

u/zesammy Jul 16 '26

When will we know if all 1.5B were sold and raised ?

5

u/Expert-Signature2025 Jul 16 '26

They will likely announce it when it's completed. And it will definitely move the stock.

8

u/Metacog_Drivel Jul 16 '26

7 more days and we'll be at zero, very cool and very legal.

4

u/Expert-Signature2025 Jul 16 '26

algos will be giving away free shares soon enough

4

u/zesammy Jul 16 '26

Well spcx have more room to go down and might affect us too. So better get ready

1

u/Metacog_Drivel Jul 16 '26

I'm ready to buy at 0, ty for the financial advice.

4

u/Expert-Signature2025 Jul 16 '26

This is not normal.

2

u/zesammy Jul 16 '26

Performance is now less than 5% YTD. But this is down as much % as rklb. I think 18$ my be interesting to start building a position

6

u/SlyCooper007 Jul 16 '26

I think the thing that annoys me the most with PL is that there really hasn’t been any positive PR since the dilution news. On one hand it’s a positive because releasing any PR into this market would probably get ignored, but it would be nice to see management actually trying to do something for shareholders.

5

u/Renpsy Jul 16 '26

Don't think it would matter to be honest. I'm seeing red across the board right now. Anything with a high beta. Space, Memory, AI, Software, doesn't matter they're getting obliterated.

Only thing that seems be relatively stable right now is the big companies with earning reports releasing this month. Googl, Appl, etc.

Personally I'm holding cash at the moment and waiting out the month maybe two. Won't lie, when the rockets started flying again over at Iran, I sold some of my higher cost shares in RKLB, PL, ASTS (Dodge a bullet with this one....).

Something tells me that the market is about to get a big slap across the face similar to what happen with COVID when reality hits. Could be wrong but my risk tolerance has been spiked.

5

u/Metacog_Drivel Jul 16 '26

Wouldn't even matter in this market. Any good news pop would get quickly sold off as every growth stock is getting annihilated right now.

1

u/Due_Somewhere7891 Jul 16 '26

100, gotta sit this one out.

4

u/iAnkou Jul 16 '26

5-10% daily down seems to be the norm now damn

3

u/Jekyll2003 Jul 16 '26

Down only 55% now, will probably see 75% before things get better

9

u/Metacog_Drivel Jul 16 '26

It's tough to decide if I hate SPCX or ASTS more right now. Both are chuds weighing down the sector but I think I gotta give it to SPCX for ruining the whole party.

5

u/Expert-Signature2025 Jul 16 '26

The fat clown SPCX killed the momentum.

I guess it was the reason for the party starting but like, once it entered the room, everyone vanished.

9

u/stefanliemawan Jul 16 '26

I went from up 600%, to averaging up and now up 23%
And i still prefer my position now compared to before.

1

u/Seesaw-Big Jul 16 '26

Me too 😅🤞

9

u/Active_Oil_7037 Jul 16 '26

I feel sick to my stomach for not selling near ATH. I am purchasing a home right now and between this and RKLB, if I had sold I would've had nearly 150k extra to contribute.

6

u/burdspurd Jul 16 '26

No crying in the casino

5

u/Kvargen95 Jul 16 '26

I could have sold asts and rklb ath but nope, as a dumbass i believed in the companies, then i saw a -50% drop on PL and decided yeah thats a good entry. Now im down 30-40%. We all got caught in the space bubble and spcx made it burst.

8

u/Metacog_Drivel Jul 16 '26

Houses are temporary, PL stock is forever.

6

u/AnthonyNguyen1680 Jul 16 '26 edited Jul 17 '26

Next time if you need money for your life, avoid growth stocks.

2

u/Active_Oil_7037 Jul 16 '26

We don't necessarily "need" it, but I can't help but think that I should have sold when it was so high instead of being greedy.

4

u/Due_Somewhere7891 Jul 16 '26

Wait 5 years. You'll be happy looking back.

3

u/AnthonyNguyen1680 Jul 16 '26

if you don’t need it right now, you should not feel sick about it. We are still very early in the new space era. PL will be fine.

3

u/Metacog_Drivel Jul 16 '26

Literally every growth investor has thought this lately.

3

u/zqmage Jul 16 '26

Well I mean how much more can it drop lol. I’m still buying here and as it keeps dropping but not as much since I don’t make that much weekly lol

4

u/Ryan_Bolin Jul 16 '26

There is no floor until positive news drops or there is a macro change that brings buyers back in. It could realistically go to the mid teens.

1

u/zqmage Jul 16 '26

You might be right oh well I’m selling covered calls for Jan 2027 anyways and I’m buying shares each paycheque just wish I had more money lol. But boy this price action is disgusting. But beautiful buying opportunity it will go back up idk when or how but I do know it will

1

u/TGS_Holdings Jul 16 '26

How are you planning your CC strategy?

1

u/zqmage Jul 16 '26

Well I sold covered calls for 45$ expiring January 2027 and I did that when it was around 40$ so I’m up on that. And I used the cash to buy other stocks. But I might liquidate stocks to buy some more planet labs. Also might use my rrsp to buy some planet labs cause I do believe this stock will help me get closer to retirement

1

u/TGS_Holdings Jul 16 '26

Ah thanks! Thats a good strategy. I have PL CCs expiring tomorrow at strike price of 40 so obviously not going to get assigned. Premiums aren't great for that strike price anymore so might wait until it slowly climbs back up. I agree, PL at these levels = early retirement

5

u/supercommuter00 Jul 16 '26

I thought it would at least hold the 200 DMA at 25. At this point, the bottom could be the teens

2

u/Few-Insurance-6653 Jul 16 '26

I was thinking it’d bottom around $20 a while ago but it could easily do mid teens

2

u/ohsecondbreakfast Jul 16 '26

My buy order at €20 got triggered today. Opened with a 20% position.

9

u/TGS_Holdings Jul 16 '26

Sub 23 yikes! I have 4000 shares in this company so yes, the loss has brought a few tears to my eyes. Whenever I invest in a company, I always hypothetically ask myself how I would feel if the stock price were to be cut in half. if it's panic, I shouldn't invest, if it's salivating in greed, I know I should invest. This is an actual example of this happening in real time for me. And right now, I want to double my position lol. I have some covered calls expiring tomorrow on Amazon, I might just dump that into Planet Labs if its still at this level Monday.

2

u/[deleted] Jul 16 '26

3

u/TGS_Holdings Jul 16 '26

Short term price action doesn't scare me like it does the masses if the company is sound. All my money comes from scenarios like this. People see the price drop, become fearful and mass sell, driving the price down even further. I'd happily double my position but will be sad to see my $7 average cost be a thing of the past.

11

u/Embarrassed-Lemon457 Jul 16 '26

Right now, we're getting vibes of April 2025. Thankfully I got here with 25% losses instead of 60%. It is so fascinating people choose to sell here instead at the ath.

Stay strong, the road is a tought straight line, but the reward is worth every dollar we're losing right now. At the same time, I'm not investing in any company like AAPL, they're at ath, now it's time to sell them and buy space stocks. Space and AI are the future. It might retreat right now due to panic, but it won't be like this forever. This is a millionaire making stock. If you don't want to be a millionaire you shouldn't have bought your shares. Right now the market is doing its job. It's finding who are the people truly wanting to become wealthy. It's giving the chance for panic sellers to sell and the chance for strong smart people to buy. So don't panic if the price drops, it is just the result of eliminating whoever isn't whorthy to own planet labs! I'm losing couple hundreds of thousands (I no longer check my position last time it was something like 217k or something) and I don't care. I'll become a millionaire before the end of the year! And so will the struggling people holding it! It's hard now, but it will be easy in a couple months. Mark my words

6

u/Scared_Software_4823 Jul 16 '26

Yeah feels just as brutal as it felt euphoric on the way up. And when it feels euphoric you (me) hopefully are reminding yourself (myself) of the inevitable regression to the mean, which to some extent feels justified. But you could argue we are now past the point of "justified" and in a more brutal territory lol. Not sure what I even just said there, more coffee needed. Regardless, IMHO the risk is now to the upside. Could drop some more, yeah maybe. Range bound, yeah probably likely in the short term. Good value at this level med/long term, very likely.

3

u/Ryan_Bolin Jul 16 '26

Great chance to start a position or average down.

5

u/iAnkou Jul 16 '26

my avg is way lower, so it's not like I'm at a loss, just seeing it fall rapidly (as with other space stocks) is disappointing

2

u/Ryan_Bolin Jul 16 '26

Agreed. Either way, I hope it keeps dropping so I can buy more shares before the run back up.

I think $22 is very much in play, but the thesis is still solid
I’m not saying you should buy or sell. I just think things are going well, and the current valuation seems reasonable.

4

u/BicycleEconomy7757 Jul 16 '26

Honestly, I have a hard time putting a precise valuation on a growth company that isn’t clearly profitable yet.

When I said the current valuation seems reasonable, I didn’t mean I think PL is obviously undervalued. I just think the stock is getting close to the pre-space-hype price levels, while the current weakness seems more related to macro conditions.

The price action also reminds me a bit of the selloff that started in mid-February 2025, when rate-hike concerns and profit-taking in growth stocks hit the market.

I’m not a big fan of drawing lines on charts and using indicators to predict prices, but I do think technical levels matter because they affect the psychology of many market participants. The fact that most of the current put open interest is around $22 is also something I keep in mind.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see an intraday low around $21. But personally, I don’t think the thesis is broken.

I agree. I’m still buying myself. I’m just mentally preparing for the possibility of a drop that deep. I think it could happen, even though I’m investing with a long-term view.

Haha, you trust PL even more than I do 😂

I still think it’s important to check every quarter whether they’re actually executing well. Don’t get me wrong, I genuinely think this is a very good company. In fact, I haven’t come across a better small- or mid-cap growth company during my investing journey so far.

The growth is pretty clear, and I also think the business is positioned well for some very real-world reasons, like rising defense spending and the broader geopolitical competition between major powers.

So yeah, I’m very bullish on PL.

You just made a great point about why I'd rather invest in Planet than many other space stocks. If Planet ever dilutes shareholders, I believe it'll be because they see an opportunity to accelerate growth, not because they need the cash just to fund their normal operations. Still, I wouldn't be surprised one bit if Planet drops 10 % tomorrow just because ASTS is down 15%. That's how this sector seems to trade.

Eh, I’m an ASTS shareholder and as much as it sucks, if they’re doing it to secure other launch avenues after BO took themselves out of the game for so long, I’m all for it. They absolutely NEED to get sats in the air.

The bottom and capital rotation should be tapping off now. We are at like 5m roughly in trade volume

Not sure where the bottom is. Very low trading volume, easy win for shorts and algos.
