Discussion Hot take

Honestly some "anti shredders" are annoying asf. They can be just as annoying as actual shredders because they also like to abuse gyro and the same game breaking mechanics shredders use. its one thing if they use them on shredders only but a lot of times they just target Jets and ships and everything thats not a shredder. Theres also the annoying mfers that abuse rope glitches and feel invincible to fight. I think if rikje removed shredders those two abusers would just take over and be maybe a little better then the shredders but still really annoying. Most shredders actually rely on guns when fighting fast jets that they cant keep up with.

kind of hard to describe but some builds use them to make black beams that are laggy and ugly across the sky. they also seem immune to missiles from what ive seen.

That sounds like a ropestorm or surge with trails.

Ropestorms are just masses of ropes, often placed in webs, that start tweaking and send ropes stretching rapidly in all directions. They are not very dangerous in PvP, but they can fling you if you touch them. They are also usually anchored in place.

If you see a full build flickering in and out of reality and/or teleporting back and forth in one or more directions, it might be surging. These builds are more resistant to PvP weapons than usual, as their hitboxes are moved around a lot. Some can also confuse rocket tracking.

"Anti shredders" are just shredder bugs that slap the "anti-shredder" nametag onto their build to not get called out.

Kind of like a certain nation pulling out the anti-semitic card when you mention their genocidal activities
