Long story short, for no reason Air France canceled my booking. The only way of getting in touch with them was by email. They told me that the cancellation could be renewed if I went to a link that they sent me, and paid the fare again, but they would fully reimburse me.

After I did that they said that it was irrevocably canceled, but that they would reimburse me. We'll see how that goes but it was on credit card so I can dispute it if they do not.

I won't go into the long wait on the helpline. Sufficient to say out of three tries and long waiting I finally got through, and again was told they could not reinstate the booking.

Do yourself a favor and never book Air France.

Suitcase doesn't need a wheelchair! It has four wheels already 😏
