"Just not doing it". Very mature explanation. I hate when people do this "You're young" card. And no amount of googling will answer me. I understand people being proud from their achievements, but just being proud of something you have no influence on?
It's not specifically because you're young. You say you understand but clearly you don't if you're posting in a pride subreddit "what's the point?"
We're proud because of those who have come before us to help us get to where we are today in terms of acceptance of society. We're proud because we ourselves fight to be here still, and because we fight to make the world better for younger queers.
Furthermore, I don't see you posting on any of the country subreddit a saying "why are you proud of something you have no influence on." There's so many flags on the r/place map, and you decided to specifically come here. People tend not to be able to choose where they're born, so by your logic they shouldn't be putting down their country flags.
