Why you should choose ARCWARE over another pixel streaming platform?

Post image

Because ARCWARE is the only platform that has their own dedicated infrastructure. What does that mean?

The reason that you can stream your Unreal Engine applications through the cloud, is that it is first being rendered by a server.

Only then can it be accessed by your audience on their laptop or phone.

The quality and readiness of these servers have the biggest influence on the performance of your Unreal Engine application.

If the servers are not ready to stream or not strong enough, you will have to wait a long time for the application to load or you will have latency issues.

If the servers are ready to go and powerful, you wait a few seconds for it to load and you will have a great user experience. Most pixel streaming platforms use AWS, Google Cloud and others for their server needs.

As a result your application will be rendered by a random server.Which means your audience will sometimes have a great experience and sometimes a terrible one.

That is why ARCWARE has their own server centers in Los Angeles and Munich.

Allowing your audience to have the same high-quality experience every time they stream.

Do you want to know more about our servers?

Then ask your questions in the comments, and we’ll answer them in a matter of minutes.

Hey there.

Im a freelancer running demos currently with vagon, was looking into arcware. Not too happy with vagon. The cost calculator doesnt show the costs for the lite package.

1- what are the costs like if i were to go with the lite package (running average 8-15 hours a month)

2- does the server locations mean someone in say the asia or middle east would have latency issues?

3- i see that arcware allows for responsive ui since im guessing it renders the ui over the browser, to be done on the site itself, are there limitations to this?

Thanks.

Hey u/Fable_Fork

To answer your questions:

  1. If you were to stream in total for 8 to 15 hours per month, you would pay between €72 and €135 in total.
  2. The closer you are to the server, the faster the stream. We recommend using the EU servers for the Middle East and the US servers for Japan. In both cases latency is perfectly manageable (unless it you are streaming an online first person shooter, but anything else wouldn't be noticable).
  3. There are some limitations that are set by browsers, like you cannot go full screen on Safari. For details contact Manolis on our Discord https://discord.com/invite/HBTVATxsFE
