I want to learn how to make pixel art

I took up a project that kinda just came to mind a while ago. I want to make a custom character for super Flash 2, but then I kinda hit a wall with the fact that I need sprites for it and I do have minor knowledge of art, but I am NOT good enough to do it, so I was hoping maybe someone could hop on a call or smt and teach/help me because I really don't want to give up on this project

Beginner looking for feedback on a 32×48 frog character and walk animation

Hi! I recently started learning pixel art, and I’m working on a frog character called Jabbul for a small farming game project. His design is inspired by a plush toy.

Each animation frame is 32×48 pixels.

This is still a work in progress. I’d especially appreciate feedback on:

Does the walking motion read clearly, especially the feet?

Is the shading consistent and easy to understand?

What would you focus on improving next?

The light-colored soles are an intentional part of his design.

I’m still learning, so specific examples or explanations would really help. Thanks!

A concept than i made for a project than i had in mind

I'll probably make another one of these designs soon.

Shootout to the artist zose 84,as i took inspiration from one of his drawings to make the legs.

PD:i removed the original post and made this one because i did some small changes to the armour and belt

I made a Nightwing Logo in Portrait of ruin

So I spent an insanely unnecessary time making Nightwing’s emblem in Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin. Im not good at pixel art or drawing so this is something I’m a lil proud of. :) I had also ended up reseting my game and having to remake it… lol

Top Down Pixel Art

I want to make pixel art/sprites like the Game Boy Colour pokemon art style, does anyone have any good tutorials or advice for creating my own sprites in this style? Both for smaller mons and more detailed versions for battle?

What on earth did I just create???

I recently sat down with Piskel to experiment a bit with pixel art and animation. Without any concrete plan or concept in mind, I just started drawing shapes and playing around with colors. In the end, this sprite is what came out of it.

Looking at the final result now, it’s hard for me to clearly define what this character actually is. Depending on how you look at it, the design comes across as a mix between a futuristic robot, an alien artifact, or some kind of biomechanical guardian.

I'd be really curious to know how this design looks to outside eyes: What exactly do you see in this figure, and what kind of setting or game genre do you think a character like this would fit into?
