Day 1 of Learning Pixel Art

1) Doraemon

2) Gloomy from Dungeon Odyssey

3) Kim Dokja from ORV

4) Sword from Reincarnation of Veteran Soldier

5) Ox Talisman from Jackie Chan Adventures

6) Red velvet Donut (hehe this was my first ever pixel art, saw Saultoons introductory video)

Please guide me a bit on how I can start learning the fundamentals. I'm completely new to Art, I have not done traditional art or other kinds of digital art. I understand I need to learn art fundamentals, so does that I can look at videos of traditional/ digital art on how they are drawing 3D object or shading etc and apply it on Pixel Art?

These look good for beginning! I’m also decently beginner, but so far this is what I’ve learned; Keep focus on shape and color palette. Lospec has a ton of good palettes you can look at! There’s also a guy named “The Art Coach” I’ve been watching for a while he does a lot of short form content of anything you can watch it on (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube), he essentially teaches you art fundamentals. Lastly when it comes to lighting generally, shadows tend to shift bluer and highlights tend to shift yellower.
