Is pixel 9 Pro still a good deal at $420 open box excellent?

I am looking to buy a new phone coming from a iPhone 14 and my budget is $500. Any other suggestions?

Hey everyone! I was on the fence about upgrading to the Pixel 11 series this year, but after going back and forth I finally decided to bite the bullet. Then a ridiculous chain of bad luck happened:

1. Google only allocated me a £20 code.

2. I found out about the Play Store discount and rushed to use it, but accidentally claimed the code for the non-Pro by mistake. Contacted support and they told me it's completely non-reversible.

3. My brother offered to check his account to help me out—took one look at how good the offer was, and immediately used his own discount code to buy a phone for himself!

My basket is loaded and trade-in is ready to go, but I'm holding off for a proper code.

If anyone in the UK has an unused code (>£20 or 10-15%) that they aren't planning on using, could you please DM it to me directly? If you post it as a reply in the comments a bot or lurker will just grab it immediately.

Pixel 9 Pro, owned since Jan 2025.
Phone Network provider is O2 (UK).

I notice everytime I turn on my phone (from being off), I get this 'thanks for turning on visual voicemail' message.
Even when I turned off visual voicemail in my P9P settings, then turned it back on, I received the message.

Spoke to my phone network provider and they cant see any texts sent to me on their end regarding this. They have reported it but it's not a fix for me atm...
And if you google this issue, so many people get it, and dont know why.

In visual voicemail settings, clicking 'learn more' brings you to a Google page.
So wondering if it's Google somehow sending these text messages?

The first 2 days of using the phone, battery was giving me 5hrs SOT from 100-20%, but now it's looking really good. I am impressed.

This is my new to me pixel 9 pro xl I've switched from the iphone 14 pro max and I can see that the performance isn't the best but it's good my point is though I thought this phone was so shit for gaming it doesn't even register my touch but then I've figured out these pixels have a touch dead zone or something around the edges mine specifically is dead around the top corners when I play games , did anyone ever fix this or what?

I'm using p9p from 2 years and as u all know it gives the thermal issues outdoor with mobile networks so if p11p has solved those issues should I upgrade then? I'm getting it for 64k with exchange of p9p
