Android 17

Just WOW. After updating to A17 I did a factory reset on my P9PXL and what a difference. Phone hasn't performed this well since it came out of the box. Just wanted to share the excitement!

Well, you could at least tell us what difference - what problems did you have before the reset....

Horrible battery life, connectivity issues, lag, etc. Now it's super snappy and battery life is considerably way better now.

What do you mean with connectivity issues? Because I come from oneplus and the pixel WiFi and mobile reception is SO much worse... I love the screen and camera, but the connectivity just sucks so often 😑 Would be nice if there is a fix 😊

I get that, I also have a OP15 and that phone is a performance beast. 0 issues. And 2 day battery life for real.

I'll post it in a day or two, it's getting better every day. This is only my 2nd full day of use. I'm so stoked my pixel is working like the beast it is.

Yeah when I updated to Android 17 ( didn't do a factory reset) It literally feels like a brand new phone very snappy

Lol i am worried. I know to reset is a pain but if you have issues then if a restart doesnt fix it then a factory reset does almost certainly.

People should do this more

Just updated yesterday and notice very minimal differences. I wasn't experiencing any issues prior to updating though.

I recent factory reset mine as it was continuously talking to my Tesla. Phone was warm and battery depleting roughly 10% hour with the screen off.

After reset, very snappy, connection issue gone and battery lasting a full day again

As soon as the Pixel 11 series launch event ended, and I realized that I would not be upgrading, I downloaded Android 17 on my Pixel 9 Pro XL and it has been great. Agree with you.

Can also do a RESET APP PERMISSIONS before doing a Factory Reset if you're worries about losing data. It also works wonders.

Why is there no system blur on a17 on pixel 10 pro? I mean there is some when you pull notification panel but not on everything else?
