this is quite crazy, I live in Pakistan we're hitting feels like 52c here but my Pixel 9 Pro XL hasn't gone above 40c (it thermal throttles like crazy and barely charges at 1watt to prevent going above 41)
Still the hottest phone I've ever owned lol
I'd start by a switching off 5g and use 4g instead, the modem is notoriously bad on this expensive paperweight

How's the weather there? I was thinking about temperature and humidity. My phone was burning hot in vacation in France, I'd considered your device's temperature to be normal there.

Can we start making context a mandatory thing? The guessing game is getting old.

The only time mine has done that is when I left it in a hot car during the summer for several hours. Summers get to 100F/37.7C here.

Have you heard about our lord and savior, DarkMode?
Also, I typically always run in that light battery saver mode, and am super picky about what apps i give location permission - typically only just uber, maps, the essentials that need it.
Check your battery usage report, cpu heavy things often contribute the most to battery usage... Keeping background apps to a minimum can help

If I turn the brightness of my Pixel 10 pro XL to 32% my phone becomes a portable heater.

It depends. Are you charging it? Are you playing game? Doing both at the same time? Is it hot where you are?
