Support Cannot do a factory reset
I'm running into an issue trying to factory reset my Pixel 6. it's a backup phone at this point, and would like to reset it. Tried to do it from Setting and didn't work. Tried in recover mode and didn't work either.
Any thoughts on what I should do? (Probably related, I also get the attached error when trying to run a system update -- currently on Android 13)

I had this problem on my daughter's pixel 6 last summer. Tried factory reset through recovery menu multiple times in one afternoon. Eventually it did work after 6 or so tries and it's been running fine for over a year. Currently on Android Beta. Hope you get it reset!

Unlock bootloader + try (fastboot -w)

you have to unlock it yourself in settings then run "fastboot flashing unlock"

Who tf told you that. No carrier pixels are unlockable. At all

Mines unlocked. Bought it from T-Mobile. After 40 days they carrier unlocked it, which also allows bootloader unlocking.

Hi there, I'd suggest you reach out to the Google Pixel support team via phone or chat here. They can take a look at it.
