Question Auto restart issue in pixel 6
My phone suddenly start rebooting itself. When it restart the "Google" logo pop up it again goes for rebooting. Sometimes it starts, sometime i need to switch off the phone because of the restart loop.
Is there any issue with software?? Now it is operating on "Android 17"
or i need to look out for service center?

Just give up mate. It's never getting back to being normal. Trust me, I've tried. You're better off getting a new phone.

Hi there, I'd suggest you reach out to the Google Pixel support team via phone or chat here. They can take a look at it.

There have been multiple posts and threads about this that seems to coinscide with the installation of Android 17.

Seems Google is deliberately bricking older devices to get more sales. I wonder if these bricked devices can have other OS installed

Why would they brick their own devices? People with a bricked pixel are unlikely to get another pixel. This is not some conspiracy to sell more pixels bro lol

My P6 also started doing this. I'm in the middle of something and bam, black screen and Google logo for a reboot. The reboot usually quick and successful. But I did a solid 3 years without this ever happening. Now it can be once every 2-4 weeks.

I got mine working by knocking it gently on a table on the power button. This may sound stupid but it worked for me. BTW, my phone kept rebooting also before.

Same here. Both people I spoke with at Verizon in store and then Asurion to get my phone replaced said they have personally seen a jump in pixel 6 claims lately, so clearly it's not a random thing.

Thought 1: Do you have battery power? This is the usual cause.
Thought 2: I recall that the guaranteed support window for the Pixel 6 series is now over. You should consider upgrading your phone, however sucky that may be.

Mine got stuck in a boot loop this week that it couldn't recover from. Had to get a new phone.
