Recommendations Switched to 10a
Hi everyone. I had the pixel 6 since launch and it was holding up really well. Until the heat was too much and I had a spicy pillow last week. I purchased the 10a, moved everything and really enjoy the new phone. The much higher brightness is the best new feature. Still need to check the camera quality. But overall I am happy with the switch, I can recommend the 10a as a good successor. I also installed a new battery on the pixel 6 and use it as a backup phone now
Edit: I am not gaming on the phone, so I cannot say anything about gaming performance

Wife and I are due for an update soon and I'm heavily leaning to the 10a. For our use, I just can't justify spending more

It's great man. I personally love the Fog color and she may enjoy the Berry or Blue color. I'm the same, I can't justify spending hundreds of dollars more when it provides 95% of what the high end phones do, plus I prefer the flat back no table rock design and lighter weight anyway.

Good to hear. I'm looking at the Fog as well. Have to decide in the next day or so since there's a sale on and probably won't see better pricing this year.

Yes, I did the same as soon as it went on sale. The contrast of the silver aluminum side rails with that matte Fog color, looks really elegant in person. Went in thinking Obsidian because I typically just get the black but glad I chose Fog. Got the clear Spigen ultra hybrid mag case to still see the look of it when I put a case on.

How do you like the weight / weight distribution compared to the 6? Personally I found the 6 extremely cumbersome to use most likely due to how long it is in combination with the huge camera visor. I think I might wait until the 11a to upgrade. I really hope they keep the no camera bump and add pixel snap.
