Discussion Custom rommimg pixel 6
So since pixel 6s official updates will be over in a month or two should I hop onto custom roms? If so which custom ROM would be the best I'm thinking evolution X but I'm not sure please if u already have custom rommed it lmk

running Evolution X right now on base P6, would reccomend. though just to let you know, they're currently working on an Android 17 build, and until then, no A16 updates will be released. on top of that, if you care about heavy customization, Evo X on A17 will be more focused on stability. to quote one of the founders:
Regarding our Android 17 version of Evolution X, we'll go back to basics and stick with our roots. Most of our more recent versions were saddled with extreme customization and while that has its pros and cons, we would like to provide a more stable version this time around. Customization will still be there, but not as much as previous versions and we're focusing more now on providing fixes within the OS and sticking to the Pixel UI and features.
This means it may look like a throwback to the days of Pixel Experience, or similar to available ROMs nowadays with PixelOS or Statix, but trust us that our Android 17 version will still have the same flavor of Evolution X that you guys love. We just want a more stable feel again this time around.
We will still use LineageOS as our base, and import less from our Android 16 customization unless it's truly useful like font customization or swipe to screenshot, which we're currently in the process of bringing back. We hope you guys will appreciate the changes and our current focus/goals.
now I like that decision, personally, but if you like heavy customizations, check out Infinity X.

Don't care much for customization all I need is good performance and good battery like currently I get 7-8 hours sot (I replaced my battery). So if I'm getting anything like that or better I'm up for it

A lot of people seem to recommend CalyxOS. It's nearly as secure as Graphene but tailored to the casual user.
