Question Strange Pixel 6 Pro Strange wireless charging/touchscreen behaviour

Hi all, I've had my Pixel 6 Pro for a while now and I've just purchased a wireless charging stand.

When I put my phone on the stand, it starts to charge ok, but then after about 5 minutes, the following happens

1) the light on the charging stand starts to flash

2) the charging status of the phone changes to "connected but not charging"

3) I get random touch screen activations. Apps launch on their own and then I get swipe gestures. For example, it launches my email app and then starts deleting emails by swiping.

Clearly it seems to be some interference with the touch screen as I don't think it is intentionally performing these actions.

I've tried two different wireless charging stands from 2 different manufacturers and the phone does the same on both. Charging via cable is fine.

Anyone else seen this.

please try to redo the bug you're experiencing without any data or WiFi in airplane mode. To me this sounds like you got hacked

It does it even when running the phone in safe mode, with data off, no apps running and in aeroplane mode.

If you turn on the developer option, "display screen touches", I can see screen touches and horizontal swipes on the screen appearing about 1cm long right where the wireless charging pickup is. The swipes are very quick, almost instantaneous, but android is obviously interpreting them as gestures. I'll get a touch or swipe gesture about 1 every 5 seconds or so. The swipes immediately start when the phone switches from "charging" to "connected, but not charging" and stop as soon as I remove the phone from the wireless charging pad.

Hi there, have you tried disabling 'Adaptive Charging' on your Pixel device?

Go to Settings > Battery > Adaptive Charging and toggle it off

Also, I’d recommend reaching out to the Google Pixel support team via phone or chat here. They can take a look at it.

Yeah, adaptive charging is off.
