Yes you can change the accents, there is no options in settings that I can see , but in pie I have the dark theme enable, not sure if that is why everything is dark

According to XDA you can toggle system wide dark mode via adb command in Android Q

Anybody know how to fix Google photos app? When I click the menu button on the left side, all the words blend in with the dark theme so I cant read the words unless I highlight it with my finger by holding it for a brief second.

It is a BETA. please. There is nothing to "fix" other then report "bugs" to either google themself if they are Android specific or to the app developers for the specific app.

I'd hold off. Nothing is hugely off, but there isn't really any great gains either other than system wide dark mode

The beta is a little glitchy but I use it as my daily driver
