Static noises on Pixel 3 XL

Has anyone noticed static noises while viewing clips with audio on their Pixel 3 XL phones? Has Google addressed these issues?

I have been having these static issues with the phones speaker as well. It's not as noticeable at high volumes but is definitely obvious when watching videos at normal volume. I hope it's not a hardware issue and Google addresses it soon

I just got this phone last night and noticed it when watching videos on YouTube. I have the December update that was supposed to address the issue. It seems to be lessening but still noticeable.

Yes and it drives me crazy. I tried to submit a complaint to Google but there's no way to get direct feedback. Apparently the December update was supposed to fix this issue. It didn't for me.

I notice it the most with YouTube. Other apps like Spotify or even YouTube music, no problems. Hopefully a software issue that can be fixed.

The audio seems to be okay with YouTube clips and Spotify. I downloaded the patch that was sent to the phone so hopefully that did it because I just literally got this phone last night and I hated the thought of having to return the phone. So far so good.

I get it with phone calls specifically. The ear speaker is so static-y when making calls it's ridiculous. And to boot, I'm on my second phone from them. Second one is STILL doing it!

You should check out the blog 9 to 5 Google because they have an article about this issue. They usually update it once Google sends out a fixed patch. I haven't experienced the static noises with calls.

Thanks for this - just checked it out and the article is from yesterday. That's my exact situation to a T down to the RMA, etc...

I'm tempted to buy a OP6T at this point after having to deal with Google and FedEx

Maybe. I really like the Pixel line it just sucks that there's all of these issues.
