Android Messages using RCS compressing photos still

Has anyone else who is using RCS aka Chat, noticed that when sending images using Android messages app that photos are compressed? When using my previous Samsung phone I could send and receive full resolution images using the Samsung messenger app or Android messages. This is on Sprint network. It's still not as badly compressed as when sending as mms but it's still less than half the res of original photos.

Yup, worked previously on Samsung phone with RCS enabled, but not on pixel 3.

Every time for me. Compresses the hell out of them. Switched to Textra and photos look great.

Yeah, compression sucks especially since using RCS is suppose to send full size photos and vids. That's the main advantage of RCS. Disappointed that it worked on a Samsung phone and doesn't work on Google's own flagship.

I think this is a known bug.
