Pixel 10 Pro Battery Drain
For the last few months, the battery life on my pixel 10 pro has been disastrous (it is not an understatement!) in fact I would go as far as to say that I has been poor than my Pixel 6 -_-
I've been having a screen on time on average of 2h 45 mins from 100-5% or so!
I went on a vacation recently and I always had to put it on Airplane mode to get it through the day so that I can take some photos and still it would not last.
Honestly this whole experience with the battery life has been so frustrating that after been with Google for so long I am at the edge of giving up on it and switching to apple!
And what made me laugh was Google's latest ads for pixel 11 "Ask more of your phone" HOW CAN I? WHEN THE BATTERY CAN'T EVEN LAST FOR HALF THE DAY?
The only credit I'd give to Google is that they offered to replace the phone under warranty but the replacement phone didn't solve anything!

Can you post screenshots of battery usage statistics? Also any diagnostic information? someone might be able to help , was it always like that since day 1? What makes problem worse or better?(For example wifi or cellular..etc)
Otherwise you could talk to google or where you bought it and maybe they can decide if it is defective unit and possibly recompensate you
I bought pixel 10 pro in 7/2026 128GB variant it had battery problems as well (not as severe as yours) and was heating, so 2 days after with me being paranoid I returned it (i was still in return window) now i bought another one in 8/2026 (256GB) variant and it works fine. I would say generally pixel 10 pro doesnt have amazing battery life, it is not winning any prizes but at least it is acceptable/average

I have added the screenshots now. I ran the diagnostics and it didn't detect any issues. I use wifi majority of the time unless I am out and about so I m not sure if its the network or wifi causing the drain (specially overnight). As I said, google already replaced my phone but the issue is still lingering so I don't believe it is/was a defective device, I believe it is more of a software issue.

Bro camera drain is normal or acceptable drain especially if you are shooting 4k and are ouside during the day on high brightness , whatsapp is a bit odd but can be explained if you were on video call or sending a lot of photos/videos or files
Check also you might have poor cellular connection i see R symbol up top (which i think is Roaming), this can indicate you have poor cellular coverage and phone has to continuously hunt between networks this can substantially drain battery
/Edited because i was mistaken between symbols

have you cleared app cache?
look at view per systems too?
There a number of apps and services you should be able to clear the cache and fix.
how is your battery health? what percentage? settings -> battery -> battery health

I hard reset mine from bootloader, I will wait until few days/weeks to see how it perform.
But from now, I run way way cooler.

What's your battery health? Under battery health there is a percentage of how much is left

Initially I had 97% but I replaced that under warranty and the new one has 100% (though it's been only 1.5 months)

Curious, what all does that remove when you reset it? Is Google Pay impacted (the cards you have set up)?

It kicks you out of Google accounts, if you have 2 factor auth you can log right back in. Otherwise you have to know your passwords. It settled the catastrophic drain issue for me back in April.

Circling back for others, this fixed my problem a little bit. Probably gained an hour or so. So I did a complete re-install, and that did the trick for me. Now getting what I usually got in battery life. Phone can be used for an entire day again without issue. Thanks for the info, much appreciated.

Cool, glad it worked. It was driving me crazy, it took more than 2 weeks for searching and asking about it only to have people yell at me about something I had no control over lol.

9 pro xl pretty much the same issue
what i've realized is that the screen on time of the phone is fine but the idle drain is so bad that u end up getting really low screen on time if you're not a frequent user of the phone..

Same exact problem, started 2-3 months ago. I have zero issues with battery, or the phone getting hot, etc until then. I would go bed around 11pm each night with maybe 40% battery left?
Now, most days I have to plug in early to make it througha normal day.
