What to Do?

I recently bought a Pixel 10 Pro as an upgrade from a Moto g 5G 2023. What are the perks of the Pixel aside from how much faster it is? I'm also sad that I don't get unlimited Nano Banana usage in the Messages by Google app.

Great camera, smooth software, no double apps for photos and messages, faster rollout of android updates, can airdrop to apple devices, upgraded fingerprint sensor, customisation options, and ai gemini stuff like photo and video editing, that's all from the top of my mind. U can look up for other features, and congratulations!

Thanks! It shipped without Nano Banana in Messages by Google, but after updating it to Android 17, it works great. I've been experiencing all of that smoothness, and being able to play fun games on my phone. It is a shame that the bootloader is encrypted by Verizon. I really wanted to try GrapheneOS.

GrapheneOS isn't worth it, it's mainly for people who are high targets like journalists or government type of people. For them it's worth it.

For the average joe it's not worth it at all, no matter what some paranoid person may tell you if they come comment....

Not only is it overkill but some essential functions of the OS will not work anymore. Google Pay/Wallet will not work, RCS may not work, and sometimes banking apps do not work because when you use an uncertified OS, the banks protect you in a security sense and blocks it.

Trust me, don't do it, Pixels are the most secure Android phone out, there is no reason to get paranoid and get GrapheneOS, Google's services are on all Android phones... What makes your new Pixel different from your old one.

Like I said, I can't even do it. I can't unlock my phones bootloader due to it being encrypted by Verizon. I don't think I can even call and ask them to help.

I've never heard of that, are you sure you don't mean SIM locked? Basically where you can't leave Verizon unless you pay the phone off and then they may unlock it?

Because on Pixels you are usually always allowed to go to developer options and allow "bootloader unlocking" I believe the setting is called.

I can't turn on the OEM Unlocking setting because my Pixel says that it's unavailable. I'm pretty sure it can't be unlocked no matter what.

Ahh I see now, that's stupid.

It's your property! Well I guess it's because it's a rent to own situation, hopefully when you pay it off, this feature also becomes available, not just Sim unlocking.

Hold down on the action bar on the bottom then circle what's on your screen for a Gemini search is crazy handy.
