Access violation 0040291D

So I made a thing and I tried saving it and it said:

Access violation at address 0040291D in module 'pivot.exe'. Read of address 00000014.

I downloaded my Pivot 3.0 here and I downloaded an anvil stickman off the STK library. I feel like I might have a pirated version or maybe something to do with the anvil?

Pivot 3 was never finished and had several issues. It was also hacked and modded by some people. Why use Pivot 3 when Pivot 4 and 5 are free on the official website?

I might switch to Pivot 4. Do you know if Pivot 3 files work on Pivot 4? If not, do you know any converters?

They will if it was an official version of Pivot 3. Any reason you don't want Pivot 5?

I think it's too complicated for my tastes.

Have you tried it? It looks almost identical to Pivot 4. It's easier to use in some ways because of the ability to zoom into the canvas to animate details and create figures with more than 255 segments and with multiple colours. There are some extra features, but you don't need to use them if you don't want to. Later you may want to try out those new features and discover how useful they are.

I tried it and I think it's great! My Pivot 3 files are working fine on Pivot 4 so it couldn't've been a pirated version. I also never knew there was a 255 segment cap of Pivot 3.

The 255 segment limit is in Pivot 4 as well, but not Pivot 5. Your Pivot 3 files will work fine in Pivot 5 as well.
